Oral Health Services

The Oral Health Services offers the following:

General dental care (waiting lists apply);
Emergency dental care;
Denture services (waiting lists apply).

General dental care, including fillings, dentures and preventative care, is available to concession cardholders through WCHS.

Emergency appointments are available. The emergency triage system is a series comprised of clinical questions to assess the urgency of the problem so that an appropriate appointment can be given.

Eligibility

Adult’s services

Our services are available to all Victorians who hold a pensioner concession card or health care card, and their dependants.

Children’s Services

All preschool children are eligible for care through the Early Childhood Oral Health Program
All primary school children and concession card dependants in years 7 and 8 are eligible to receive treatment through the School Dental Service, which is operated by Dental Health Services Victoria. Secondary School children in years 9 through to 12 who are dependant of pensioner concession or health care card holders are eligible for free dental care through the Youth Dental Program.

Fees

Adult Services (aged 18 years and over with HCC or Pensioner Card)

General Dental Care - From $22.50 up to $90

Dentures - Maximum $110 for a set of acrylic (plastic) dentures

Emergency Care

Each Emergency visit is $22.50

Preschool Services

The service is free for children whose families have a health care or pensioner concession card. $27.50 for children whose families do not have a Health Care Card or Pension card

Youth Services (in years 9 – 12 in Secondary School)

No charge for children whose families have a Health Care or Pensioner Concession card
