Whitehorse Good Life Club

Research shows that living with a long term health condition can be stressful and often requires many lifestyle changes. The good news is that setting goals and using strategies to deal with long term problems can help you to manage your health better.

The Whitehorse Good Life Club is a health initiative for people with long term health conditions including diabetes, arthritis, chronic heart and lung conditions.

The club will provide a key worker who will assist participants:
  • Set and achieve goals to better manage their health condition
  • Link up with services and group programs (eg. exercise programs, support groups and education programs) to assist in maintaining health and wellbeing.
This club involves any of all of the below:

The Better Health Course

A ‘Better Health Course’ is a very popular group course that runs over 6 weeks. It aims to assist people manage the emotional & physical affects of a long term health condition.

Health Coaching

Health Coaching is an individual service offered by health professionals to assist Whitehorse Good Life Club participants to achieve their goals. It comprises of health education and promotion, healthy living skill development, problem solving and encouragement for people wanting to improve their health and well being.

Club members will also receive benefits such as a regular newsletter with health tips and information about activities of interest within the local community.
